Don’t let it become a catch all for miscellaneous items! Tastefully arrange items on your shelves, do not overcrowd. Place other items in drawers with compartment organizers.
Put the things you reach for most often in the easiest spots, and reserve high, low or deep storage for occasional-use supplies. Group like items together so you can see what is running low before buying more.
Store pieces by occasion and use, not simply wherever they happen to fit. Label the outside of each container with enough detail that next season you can find the right box without opening them all.
